Zweiheit
This project is called „Zweiheit“ (possible translation: two-some) and consists out of seven wall installations. Each wall installation is composed of a brooch and a wall piece, both are visually connected through the wooden plank which gives each piece its space.
Both pieces can be worn, one from the body and one from the wall. While the brooch is robust enough to be worn outside, the wall piece, fragile as it is, stays behind and is carried outside in the mind of the beholder
The work is the result of a long material study in which I investigated the corelation between wood, aluminium and glass with the addition of heat. The heat is the driving force and creates the final shape through the interplay between the burning wood and the melting glass..
